Chartered
I received this email at the beginning of this week from IOSH.
Dear Scott,
Congratulations, you have now been transferred to a Chartered member of IOSH, after passing your Peer Review Interview. We have posted your Chartered badge and certificate, this should be with you within 7 -10 days.
The process of achieving chartered membership with IOSH to is be first GradIOSH and then successfully complete IPD, which is completing set questions and ensuring your CPD is updated on a regular basis. After that process you are invited for a peer review interview.
I was asked to write a presentation on the my career so far and what I plan to do in the future. In the peer review interview, which is in front of volunteer chartered members of IOSH, you have to give commentary on your presentation for a maximum of ten minutes, which isn't to hard as it's all about you. After that, the panellists take turns in asking you questions about a variety of different H&S topics, which you have to demonstrate what you have done in the past or what you would do.
Then you wait a few days and receive the congratulations email above and a few more days for the certificate to come through. I am very pleased I have achieved this standard and should you or anyone you know, require chartered professional health and safety consultants assisting you and your company, please don't hesitate to give us a call.
Keep Moving
Scott Bundy CMIOSH (couldn't resist using the letters!)
