The Week In Review

Yet another week passes by in a year which is already flying! We have ran a successful first aid course this week, along with asbestos awareness and manual handling. We have carried out five site inspections which either of a very good standard or going in the right direction. The managers and teams working on site seem to be more engaged with the safety processes being implemented which is great news. I can see a positive safety culture being implemented here which is wonderful.

We have helped companies develop safe systems of work gaining good comments from Principal Contractors. We have completed ISO audits with our clients and started transitioning one of our clients to 45001. A good week in all!

This week I also sat my peer review interview with IOSH for chartered membership and felt I did pretty well. I gave a good presentation and answered all the questions the two panellists asked in a rapid time. Now I have to wait and keep my fingers crossed. Wish me luck!

On a sad note, my favourite ever pet in the whole world, Ernie the cat was ran over on Tuesday and sadly passed. I am absolutely gutted. I post this to remind every driver out there to please slow down and think safety when driving. It is one of the biggest risks we take and we do it daily. Lets ensure everyone gets home safely at night to the people that matter the most.

Stay safe and keep moving

Scott
